Sun sun sun mere nanhe(munne) sun started featuring as a filler between programmes on Doordarshan around February 1991. The period saw the release of another nationalistic song, 'Aao mil kar rahe Hind ke vaasiyon', probably sung by Jagjit Singh. While the mid-80s featured re-runs of 'The World of Survival' to fill breaks, the latter part of the decade were better off with more local stuff like the Lok Seva Sanchar Parishad's 40 Years of Freedom ensemble with sportspersons, Mile sur mera tumhara and Vani Jayaram's Bharatiyam song.

I remember getting peeved that Kamal wasn't featured. Just Rajni. And later reconciled that Mohanlal was also absent.
I used to love this song those days and eventually forgot all about it. Thanks for reviving some great memories :)

thanx for refreshing my memory once again about the song. but unfortunately this site "evoca" does not seem to be working anymore :(
is there any other way hw i can get this song?? plz help. i have been trying to get any of those good old DD serials but to no avail...i even contacted DD fellows but effort went in vain.. nyways do share anything else u have of those days..thanx

all those who remember watching this song will be amazed to know that the kid with Anil Kapoor was none other than his daughter Sonam Kapoor, while Jackie was with his son Tiger.
